Screws did not line up when trying to put glass top on to bottom of desk. Had to drill holes out someIt’s a good desk, my use for it is my podcast and says that I will be working from home. It was a bit of pain to put together but after 3 hours of pushing through and a whole lot of cursing; the desk was done! I like the black glass, since it’s going to go great with the rest of my place and the black glass dry erase board I purchased. Definitely buy it!Overall I am pretty pleased with this desk. I was getting so tired of even really expensive desks not being made of real wood and falling apart every time I want to rearrange furniture, so I thought it would be best to avoid wood altogether and go with metal and glass... and sure enough, this desk was a good choice. The file cabinet assembly is optional so if you would like to have a bit more legroom, you can assemble the desk without. The only thing I would say that might be a bit of an issue or design flaw is that there are screws that stick out under the metal desk frame in the corner where the two sides meet, and they can scrape your knees if your chair sits a little higher or you're not careful. Otherwise, I'm pretty pleased with this desk, and I'm glad I have something that I know won't fall apart should I choose to move or switch up my furniture.Highly recommended. Great value for the money!Overall a decent desk. Assembly initially seems strange but it makes sense overall. Drawer assembly is kind of wobbly until it's screwed into the frame. Then it is fairly strong although you can't put a lot of weight in the drawers.Note: the drawers only mount on the right side. One commenter said they would mount on either side. This is true if: 1 you drill holes in one frame, and 2 add more hardware. As supplied, it only assembles one way. And I really wanted to assemble it with the drawers on the left. That's why I bought this particular model.Assembly would have rated more stars If a ball end hex wrench had been included. The 4mm hex wrench they supply keeps hitting the frame so you have to take it out and do another partial turn. And they showed a no power tools pictogram so that slowed things down too.This desk is sturdy and arrived in excellent condition considering FedEx sent it to the New York instead of Washington state. So it traveled an extra 5500 miles or so.Purchased this desk to go into my new "Work From Home" office. The quality is very good. There is a good amount of assembly to this desk as EVERYTHING needs to be assembled, including the drawers and drawer cabinet. Since I enjoy putting things together, I found it not difficult at all. There are a few things to keep in mind however.First. You MUST have someone helping you when installing the file cabinet to the desk. They need to hold the cabinet in place as you secure the mounting screws.Second. You will also need someone to assist you when you place the drawers into the cabinet. Lining up the tabs that secure the drawers to the drawer rollers will require two people.Third. you must ensure all screw hole are aligned before tightening the screws. It is recommended that all screws and bolts are tightened down after the desk is fully assembled. This will allow for small adjustments to be made and to ensure the desk is assembled correctly.I'll say I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend this to anyone needing a desk of this size. Again, keep in mind that there is a fair amount of assembly to be completed once you receive it, but it's well worth the effort.I ordered the L-shaped desk and the Rectangular desk so that I could use them in a T-shape configuration... There is no other real solution for my need for this...1st problem... There is no discernible reason that the file cabinets shouldn't be able to "switch sides." It would be an incredible benefit if I could switch the sides of the desk that the file cabinet lived on.... Also, For the life of me, I don't understand why the height of the different desk configurations are different. Nothing that a little shimmying can't fix, but... really?!Otherwise, the 2 desk are VERY sturdy. But sadly, easily scratched, But if you take your time, you can put this beast together in a couple of hours and enjoy a lifelong (I assume) reliable product that will support the needs of a small home office.Great product! All metal and glass! I suspect I have built more furniture than most people, and I actually find it fun, so it’s not really fair for me to comment on easy of assembly. Due to the fact this is entirely metal and glass, it is certainly heavier than your typical pressed board equivalent. They forgot to punch a hole in one sheet of metal. I hate that, but it initially makes you question if you assembled wrong, but I can assure you I didn’t. Luckily it was just in one of the side or back pieces of the file drawer enclosure and didn’t affect final assembly or integrity. I wanted to let others know about that to save them the frustration as I suspect many were manufactured with this error. Overall, this desk is DEFINITELY worth the money! Super simple and sleek design and very nice glass top! 5 stars for value!!
